As an election organizer, do I need a data processing agreement?

Yes, a data processing agreement is necessary, as personal data of your eligible voters is exchanged with POLYAS in the course of each election project. This includes data in the electoral register and the content of ballot papers. POLYAS has developed a standard reference for this, which is valid without a signature.

You can find the agreement along with our Terms and Conditions, available for download here:

To the POLYAS data processing agreement

SaaS customers who have registered themselves in the POLYAS Online Voting Manager agree to the Terms and Conditions when they register. The agreement is attached to the terms and conditions under https://www.polyas.com/terms-and-conditions. By agreeing to the terms and conditions, the agreement is concluded without the need for a signature. This procedure is legally approved.
