This is how you can give your consent to being nominated yourself
- Give your consent quickly and easily with a click
- Optional insight into all nominations
- Withdrawal of consent during the nomination phase
Due to legal regulations, bylaws, electoral regulations, or even just for reasons of convention, nominees may have to provide their personal consent before they can be nominated for an office or committee by other nominators.
If you are to be nominated in an online nomination, you can submit your consent via the nomination platform if your election administration has booked the feature “Searchable candidate list and digital consent”.
1) Update consent forms
When you are logged in to the nomination platform, a section of the overview page has the header "Digital declaration(s) of consent". Below the header you will find information on whether you have already been nominated.
If you have been logged in for some time or if you submit nominations or endorsements, we recommend that you update the view by clicking "Refresh" on the right-hand side of the tile.
Please note that your view may differ from that shown below, depending on whether digital endorsement is enabled in the nomination platform and whether you are allowed to nominate or endorse.

2) Submitting consent
If you have been nominated by a nominator, this will be displayed in the tile for the digital declarations of consent. You will also find a green button labeled “Edit digital consent form(s)”.
“Edit digital consent form(s)” button.
Clicking here takes you to an overview of all candidate proposals for this nomination. A blue dot next to the title of the proposal tells you which committee or position you have been nominated for. Clicking on the proposal opens a modal dialog which, depending on the type of proposal, displays the other people on the list who were nominated along with you.
Notes: A nomination can only be associated with you if nominators selected you from the list of candidates. Entries made manually do not provide any identification.
If you have been nominated to be a proxy, you can also see the primary nominee(s) here. In the case of a list nomination, you will also see the other list proxies.
If you select yourself from the list of entitled persons in the nomination process, you also need to give your consent.
You can click on the checkbox to the left of your nomination to give your consent. Then click “Submit consent”.

You will now see confirmation that your consent to the nomination(s) has been sent successfully.
3) Editing consent forms
Throughout the nomination period, you can edit your digital declarations of consent. In the “Digital consent form(s)” section on the overview page of the nomination platform, you will find the number of nominations you have at this time and how many of them you have consented to. In order not to miss a nomination, log in to the platform again, particularly towards the end of the nomination phase. You can of course decide which nominations you agree to.
It is also possible for you to withdraw and change previous declarations by using the green button "Edit digital consent form(s)".
Example view of digital declaration(s) of consent: 1 nomination has been received which has not yet been approved. Edit this by clicking the "Edit digital consent form(s)" button.
