How to offer your endorsement digitally on the POLYAS Online Nomination Platform

As a nominator for an online nomination project with POLYAS, you can also digitally support any received nominations (supporting signatures). Your electoral officer will have booked the feature "Digital endorsement of nominations” for this. These instructions are a step-by-step explanation of how to provide digital endorsements and what you need to be aware of.
1) Submit and view nominations
Depending on the permissions used by your organization for digital nominations, you can also submit nominations and candidate proposals during the nomination phase. Read about how this works and the different types of nominations in the following guide:
Use your access data to log in to the nomination platform. You should have received the login data by e-mail, or possibly by post. This data consists of an ID (e.g. your e-mail address) and a personal password. These credentials allow you to log in, nominate, view, or endorse/support nominations on the nomination platform at any time throughout the nomination period, provided you have the appropriate permissions.
Note: Your organization may have booked authentication via SecureLink. In this case, you can log in to your member portal with your usual login data. Please ask your election officer about the login process for your online nomination.
If you are not entitled to nominate and are only allowed to endorse nominations, you must wait for nominators in your organization to submit their candidate proposals. Depending on how your organization decides, the endorsement phase may start after the nomination phase is completed.
You can view nominations that have already been submitted on the nomination platform, provided your election officer has activated this setting. Below the welcome message you will find a button labeled “View submitted nomination(s)”. Clicking on this button takes you to all of the nominations received so far, sorted by committee.

Clicking on the respective committee opens a table with all the nominations for this committee or position. A click at top-left returns you to the overview.

Depending on your permissions, the overview page of your nomination platform will also contain the “Digital Support” tile. The process for submitting digital endorsements (supporting signatures) is explained here. Click on “Support now” to access the support area.
Attention: Please note that the image shown below is an example. Your welcome page looks like this when you are allowed to both nominate and endorse/support. If you only have the right to endorse, the left-hand tile "Nomination(s)/candidate proposals" will not be shown.

Click on the committee for which you are entitled to submit endorsements and you will see the nominations received so far. Here you can choose the nominee who you wish to endorse.
2) Endorsing nominations
The nominations that have been received can now receive your digital endorsement. To do this, tick the box to the left of the nomination you would like to support. Repeat this for any other nominations you wish to endorse. You may only be able to submit one endorsement per committee.

Click on the green “Check support(s)” button You will see all of the candidate proposals who you have endorsed. Under “Correct” you can make changes or submit your endorsement(s) under “Submit support(s)”.

Once you have given your endorsement, you can either withdraw it below or go back to the overview page of your nomination platform. To do this, click on “Back to overview” at the top-left.
3) Revoking support(s)
You can withdraw and resubmit your endorsements or support throughout the nomination period. To do this, use your access data to log in to the nomination platform.
The “Digital support(s)” tile now contains a note explaining that you have already submitted digital support signatures. Below this is the option “Revoke support(s)”. By clicking on this, your previous endorsement(s) will be deleted and you can start the process again.
To do this, click on "Support now" and proceed as described in section 2.
