The <strong>time in seconds</strong> before the actual logout is specified here. </li></ol><div class="embedExternal embedImage display-medium float-none"> <div class="embedExternal-content"> <a class="embedImage-link" href="https://us.v-cdn.net/6034140/uploads/3TAF72WK5TN1/marketing-4476-automatische-abmeldezeit-1-en.png" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener ugc" target="_blank"> <img class="embedImage-img" src="https://us.v-cdn.net/6034140/uploads/3TAF72WK5TN1/marketing-4476-automatische-abmeldezeit-1-en.png" alt="Feature tile “Automatic logout time when inactive”" height="868" width="801" loading="lazy" data-display-size="medium" data-float="none"></img></a> </div> </div> <p><em>Feature tile “Automatic logout time when inactive”</em></p><p> </p><h2 data-id="2)-logout-during-voting"><strong>2) Logout during voting</strong></h2><p>After the start of your voting project, all participants log on to the system and carry out their voting or nominations. The automatic logout occurs depending on the times you have specified until the notification and automatic logout.</p><p><strong>An example: </strong>You have set the automatic logout time to three minutes and you want your notification to appear 90 seconds before the actual logout.</p><p>Voters or nominators will see a message if they are inactive for 90 seconds, i.e. if the mouse or keyboard are not used in the browser with the voting system (<a href="https://www.polyas.com/live-voting" rel="nofollow noreferrer ugc">Live voting system</a> or the <a href="https://www.polyas.com/nomination-platform" rel="nofollow noreferrer ugc">nomination platform</a>) or if the relevant tab or window were moved to the background. This informs them that they have been inactive for a while and can either confirm their presence or be automatically logged out shortly. </p><p> </p><div class="embedExternal embedImage display-medium float-none"> <div class="embedExternal-content"> <a class="embedImage-link" href="https://us.v-cdn.net/6034140/uploads/YI3O9JJLH46J/marketing-4476-automatische-abmeldezeit-2-en.png" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener ugc" target="_blank"> <img class="embedImage-img" src="https://us.v-cdn.net/6034140/uploads/YI3O9JJLH46J/marketing-4476-automatische-abmeldezeit-2-en.png" alt="Notification of automatic logout in the event of prolonged inactivity." height="657" width="1146" loading="lazy" data-display-size="medium" data-float="none"></img></a> </div> </div> <p><em>Notification of automatic logout in the event of prolonged inactivity.</em></p><p><em> </em></p><p>If the voter/nominator confirms their presence, they can continue with the voting or nomination process. The time until the next notification or logout resets at this point.</p><p> If they do not confirm their presence, they will be logged out 90 seconds later in our example, i.e. a total of three minutes after becoming inactive.</p><p><strong>Note</strong>: The logout time can be set to a minimum of one minute. We recommend not setting it higher than fifteen minutes, as both the voting secrecy and the ability to vote independently are at risk if you are inactive for a longer period of time. For <a href="https://www.polyas.com/live-voting" rel="nofollow noreferrer ugc">Live Voting</a>, however, it makes sense to set the times significantly longer, since there may be extended periods of inactivity between the votes due to the agenda. Otherwise, voters would have to log in again for each voting round.</p><p> </p><div class="embedExternal embedImage display-medium float-none"> <div class="embedExternal-content"> <a class="embedImage-link" href="https://us.v-cdn.net/6034140/uploads/O8U1TGVX3W9G/marketing-4476-automatische-abmeldezeit-3-en.png" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener ugc" target="_blank"> <img class="embedImage-img" src="https://us.v-cdn.net/6034140/uploads/O8U1TGVX3W9G/marketing-4476-automatische-abmeldezeit-3-en.png" alt="The user was automatically logged out and has to log in to the voting system again." height="903" width="1376" loading="lazy" data-display-size="medium" data-float="none"></img></a> </div> </div> <p><em>The user was automatically logged out and has to log in to the voting system again.</em></p><p><em> </em></p> </article> </main>
