The roles define which rights your users have for setting up the voting and what they can access. This helps to further optimize the process of voting configuration.

There are seven different roles:

Full access

Read access

Invoice access

Election management

Ballot paper management

Electoral roll management

E-Mail invitation access

Giving a user the role Full access lets them access everything that you as the project owner can access. The user can start, stop or delete the voting project.

Read access allows the user to view all areas of the project. They can also download the invoice and the election results. This role has no editing rights.

The roles E-Mail invitation access and Invoice access are specially tailored to the tasks of your employees in these areas. Invoice access users can only read and download the invoice and the election results. E-Mail invitation access users, on the other hand, have read and write access to the voter invitation, the election reminder (if booked), and the custom system texts.

The final three roles Election management, Ballot paper management and Electoral roll management are suitable for dividing up the work of configuring the election according to these areas of responsibility.

The role Electoral roll management has the following rights:

Write and read the electoral roll

Users with the role Ballot administration are allowed to:

Read and write ballot papers

Manage voter groups

Users with the Election management role also have the rights of the Electoral roll management and Ballot paper management roles. Further, they can:

Manage features

Write and read election invitations

Once you have assigned a role to your users, click “Invite”. All of the users you have invited now appear in the table below. If you have added a person by mistake or if you wish to revoke an invitation, click on the trash can icon on the right.

Once you have added all the users you want, click the green "Save" button and close the tile.

Note: The e-mail addresses you have added are now displayed in the project overview under “Users”. For reasons of space, only the first three appear here. You can add or remove users at any time. Simply click on the first e-mail address displayed.

Access to projects

If you have invited a user to your project, they will find it in their POLYAS Online Voting Manager dashboard under the “Invited” filter.
