How does POLYAS ensure that the election result cannot be falsified after the election?

The ballot box in the POLYAS Online Voting System CORE 2.5.0 is given a checksum that is unique worldwide (64-digit hexadecimal number). Any changes made to the file will change the checksum. The checksum can be checked with the verification tool.

POLYAS CORE 3.0 provides election officers and eligible voters numerous options for verifying that the election was processed and counted correctly.

Universal verification allows election organizers to use an open source verification tool to check whether the processing of the election and the counting were conducted with integrity. POLYAS detects brute force attacks at the application level and can contact the customer directly in such a case. Additional DDoS protection is provided by our hosting providers and the separate clusters we use for hosting.
