Choose a template for the nomination
In the Online Voting Manager, click the “Nomination” tab to create templates that your nominators can use to submit their candidate proposals.
First enter a title for the nomination into the line “Untitled nomination template”.
After clicking on the gear-wheel icon, a further window opens. You have the choice between self-nomination, nomination by another, or list nomination:
- Self-nomination: Select this option if your nominators are allowed to nominate themselves
- Nomination by another: In this case, nominators suggest other people for candidacy
- List nomination: In this case, nominations with several candidates are submitted as a list
You can of course combine all three procedures in each nomination.
Using additional features
Format: If you have decided on a list nomination or nomination by another, you can use the “Format” tab to add columns and rows. These provide space for the candidates' first and last names, addresses or other data.
List and self-nominations have additional features that you can activate:
Self-nomination: If you activate the slider, the nominators are obliged to name a substitute.
List nominations: If you activate the slider, nominators have the option to enter a list manager.
These additional settings are available when you set up your nominations:
Voter groups: If your nominators are divided into different voter groups, you can set these up very easily in the Online Voting Manager. More here >
Export/import: Nominations can also be uploaded or downloaded as an Excel file. For an upload, just use the practical Excel template that you will find under the “Import” tab.
POLYAS tip: Allow your nominators to upload files such as lists with supporting signatures, consent forms, or information about the candidates. To do this, book the feature “File upload when nominating”, which you will find under the “Features” tab in the Online Voting Manager. To the instructions >
